Dr. John Barrington
Dr. John Barrington, who focuses on hips and knees, does both revision surgery and minimally invasive surgery. He joined the Texas Center for Joint Replacement staff in August 2006. He also is the current director of the Joint Institute at Plano Presbyterian Hospital.
Originally from California, Dr. Barrington did his residency at University of North Carolina and a joint fellowship at one of the most prestigious joint centers in the country, Massachusetts General Hospital, under Dr. William Harris
He is actively involved in the latest research and surgical techniques and wants to continue to study total joints and publish his findings. His special interests include prevention of post-operative blood clots and new materials for implants that will increase implant life.
Married with three children, Dr. Barrington an avid golfer and his wife is a tennis pro. He is active in charity organizations that offer free medical treatment to citizens of poor countries throughout the world and spends his vacation in those countries doing orthopedic surgery.
